Frequently Asked Questions For Lifestyle in San Miguel de Allende
I confess, I’m a bit of a culinary snob and I hear San Miguel has no Michelin rankings. I’m not sure it’ll be up to my standards.

Actually, we can’t wait for the Micheline Guide to finally vote to start ranking restaurants in San Miguel de Allende, in the last nine years we have truly become the culinary capital of Mexico...

As I note above, we have 650 restaurants offering every cuisine style, every budget level you can imagine. Us locals—tourists too—can literally get dinner for anywhere from $5 USD to $150 USD per person, so the range of offerings is almost infinite. Many of the top-ranked restaurants from Mexico City open a 2 nd location here, and many international and celebrity chefs have opened restaurants here. We also host multiple culinary festivals annually, with international restaurants, chefs and wineries being featured over multi-day events, and there are several weekly Wine & Dine clubs. Your taste buds will revel in San Miguel!
