Yes, many homes here have staff who have been working in the same house for years, sometimes decades—they know all the many details and idiosyncrasies of the home. At closing (when you purchase your new home), the Seller is obligated to terminate that staff and pay their severance pay that is associated with their tenure at that home for that specific owner.
However, if you wish to maintain the same staff you can engage their services the day you close on your new home and everything continues operating as smoothly as before. On occasion, a Seller will take the staff with them to a new home but your property manager will be able to find new, qualified staff to replace them.
