I heard there is not even a licensing requirement for Realtors in Mexico! Is that true?
It was true through the end of 2019. And even though 2020 initiated the licensing requirement for a Realtor to remain a member of the AMPI real estate association (sister company to the National Association of Realtors, NAR), I personally have an email database of 485 real estate “agents,” only 275 of which now hold a real estate license. Be cautious, only work with a licensed Realtor—ask about their credentials!
