Frequently Asked Questions For Lifestyle in San Miguel de Allende
I love the Latin style of dining as late as midnight—I’ll bet San Miguel is like that, yes?
Actually, because San Miguel de Allende is so bicultural, the city has adopted a dining habit halfway between the two cultures. Americans still go out to dine here about 7:00, the local Latins might eat as late as 9:00…, but most of the city starts to roll up the sidewalk —dining wise—by about 9:30 or 10:00, so you won’t find any Buenos Aires-style restaurants serving dinner at 1:00 a.m.! If you arrive on a late flight looking for dinner after 9:00, your best option will be a hotel restaurant from one of the larger luxury hotels.
