Certain aspects of your health care regime may be cheaper in Queretaro than San Miguel. A surgeon of mine once gave me the choice of renting a hospital room in San Miguel versus renting one in Queretaro… for a brief one-hour non-urgent surgery. The surgery room rental was 1/3 the cost in Queretaro! I just paid an Uber driver to wait for me and take me back to San Miguel, the Uber fare was far less than the cost of having the surgery in a local hospital operating room. My maid sees a physician that works in Queretaro, San Miguel de Alledne, and the nearby little town of Dolores Hidalgo. She says his fees are substantially cheaper if she sees him in Dolores, versus if she sees him in San Miguel, so again her Uber fare saves her considerable money seeing the same Doctor in another town.
